G.A.I. is a design and manufacturing company incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas in 1966 by Mr. Don Roach, the founder of the company. During June 2006 Mr. Paul Mauldin was promoted to the position of President. To help maintain the continuity of the organization Mr. Don Roach is an Advisor to the President and owners.

To date, G.A.I. has successfully completed over six thousand contracts for the military services of the Department of Defense as well as several NATO countries. The company has successfully produced helicopter maintenance stands, armored vehicle components, M-1 tank travel locks, grenade launcher brush guards, munitions trailers, bomb adapters, bomb straps, missile fin boxes, maintenance platforms, oxygen and nitrogen servicing carts, oxygen and nitrogen servicing trailers, refueling boom trailers, and engine transport and maintenance trailers. The company has completed numerous contracts for airborne equipment such as aerial cargo delivery systems for the C-130 and C-141 Aircraft.

Over the years G.A.I. has evolved into a fully integrated engineering, manufacturing and systems test company. The company has established an excellent reputation in design/build, build-to-print, and build-to-specifications, which is unrivaled in the small business sector. For example, within the Air Force's active inventory there are over 700 nitrogen service trailers designed, manufactured and tested at G.A.I.'s facility in Weatherford, Texas. These units are used to service critical flight control systems on aircraft such as the F-15, F-16, C-130, F-117, B-1, B-2 and the B-52.

During Desert Storm GAI completed delivery of 2,085 Helicopter Dollies to the U.S. Army. The Dollies are used for ground mobility of the Whiskey Model Cobra, UH-1, OH-58, and the AH-1 helicopters. During the planning phase, G.A.I. Engineering proposed over 29 Engineering Changes due to faults in the initial design recommended by the customer. This necessitated the development of two First Articles, and still the contract was completed six months ahead of schedule. In addition, G.A.I. has designed from a 10 page purchase description which simply listed certain operational parameters as guidance, a trailer mounted Fuel Cell Purging System to be used for fuel cell maintenance on the C-130, C-141, C-5A, and the C-17 cargo aircraft. This contract called for a First Article design, First Article test, Level III Production Drawings, a complete Integrated Logistics Support package and full production deliveries that totaled 254 units.

G.A.I. is a full service provider to the Department of Defense and Private Industry. G.A.I. already enjoys a solid position within the military services as evidenced by the fact that during the Persian Gulf War, G.A.I. was awarded over 20 sole source, non-competitive contracts which carried extremely short turnaround times and the highest quality requirements. It should be noted that the wartime production demands placed a heavy burden on GAI. However, having met all contractual commitments the company is much stronger, its personnel more experienced and held in much higher regard by the customers than ever before. All Desert Shield and Desert Storm contracts were delivered either on schedule or ahead of schedule.

In recent years, G.A.I. has expanded its sales to include military, private industry and gate hinges. Our manufacturing effort has included cryogenic vessel mounting and plumbing for the oil field industry, fabrication and design of stainless steel 6000# blenders and conveyor systems for the food processing industry. GAI has done custom design and manufacturing based on a customer statement of work. These maintenance stands include the V-22, UH-1Y, UH-1Z, and B-1 which were installed at the customer location. GAI also provides engine stands, build stands, caster stands, and hydraulic lifts to support the F-35 program. These products require GAI engineers to work closely with their customers in both a design and sustaining engineering role to make certain that the product design and function are met.
